Hunting and Leasing

Situated in the Adirondack Park, the Lyme Adirondack Timberlands property is the largest private forestland ownership in the state of New York – encompassing more than 234,000 acres.

It includes frontage on a number of scenic rivers and access to undeveloped ponds and lakes. The property is permanently conserved as a working forest under a conservation easement held by the State of New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation. Portions of the property are open to the public for a variety of recreational opportunities.

LAFCo offers private recreational leasing opportunities to hunting clubs, individuals, and families. Activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, bird watching, snowmobiling, and ATV riding are allowed as part of the lease. Farrell Farm Tenant Lake

A posting lease offers exclusive recreational rights to a specific parcel of land owned by LAFCo.
